After a few delays, I've finally launched my new blog design. Tumblr is no more, with Expression Engine getting a rare chance to shine in the blog site realm. It's still a work in progress so please don't hate me...

Early, but still late...

It happens, you set deadlines, and you think that you've given yourself more than enough time to realistically achieve them. Then the inevitable happens, and you miss it. Apparently my social calendar has been largely busier than i'm used to. I got a couple of days where almost nobody noticed but it didn't last long!

So after over a week of delays, and then not actually getting any closer to fixing everything that was holding up the launch, i've decided to give the new design a spin, it's better than nothing being here surely...?

Plannning to tweak

So why have i launched when it's completely unfinished? so that i'll fix the many things that I need doing over the next couple of weeks, it gives me more of a push...hopefully. You can expect anything and everything to change (or not), so if you notice something that's broke, tell me about it, reply to me on twitter, send a cheeky DM or go the whole hog and have a wee chat with me via email!

Current Crevats

Here are a few things so far that i will be working on, some are big, some are small:

  1. Styling on the comic pages (the whole layout of them is up for debate really)
  2. Photos doesn't actually pull in from flickr on the homepage.
  3. There aren't any new blog posts, only ones from the old site! (i'm working hard on getting these out the door FAST!)
  4. Cross Browser testing, it will happen, at some point, honest...
  5. Search feature.
  6. Footer styles on post pages is a bit borked.
  7. I've only got -webkit- prefixes on most of my css3.
  8. Tweet button does sweet f a.
  9. Less offensive 404 error page.
  10. More...

Feedback

I'd love to get some, even if you are talking about a site that is about 80% done. There is a lot of wiggle room for changes so please, please please leave us a message on this blog post, or twitter or email etc. I'm slightly desperate for feedback, as long as it's constructive, haha...

that's all folks!
